Suge Knight Transferred To California State Prison For Manslaughter Sentence

Suge Knight’s has arrived at Wasco State Prison in California where he might be serving the rest of the 28-year sentence for manslaughter, TMZ reports. The mogul will undergo a series of both physical and mental exam and have his records reviewed before they determine where Suge Knight will be permanently placed to serve his sentence. Depending on how the results of his exams, he could be sent to a different state prison.

Suge Knight is currently serving a 28-year bid after he entered a plea deal for the murder of Terry Carter. The former music executive pled no contest to voluntary manslaughter. He received credit for the three and a half years he served while he was awaiting trial. After serving his sentence, he’ll be on parole for three years.

He had five years added to his sentence because Carter’s murder was described as a “serious and violent felony.” However, there’s a chance he could be out in a bit over 10 years due to overcrowding prisons.

Suge was arrested in 2015 after he fatally ran over Terry Carter in the Tam’s Burger parking lot during the production of NWA’s biopic. The surveillance footage shows Suge putting his car in reverse before he struck one man and then driving forward and running over Terry before killing the man.
