Police Say YNW Melly Rode Around With Dead Bodies & Staged Drive-By

Miramar, FL – YNW Melly was arrested earlier this month for allegedly killing fellow artists YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy.

New evidence suggests Melly concocted an elaborate plan to make it look like his two friends were killed in a drive-by shooting. TMZ reports Melly’s friend Cortlen Henry drove the two deceased victims to the emergency room in the early morning hours of October 26, 2018.

When Henry arrived, he asked the medical staff to help his two friends who were just shot in a drive-by. Police said both victims — real names Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr. — were pronounced dead at the hospital after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

Henry explained to police he and his two friends had just finished a late night studio session and as he was getting off the freeway, a vehicle pulled up to his driver’s side and opened fire. Police confirmed there were eight bullet holes on the right side of the car where Williams and Thomas were sitting. Henry wasn’t hit.

The more police investigated Henry’s story, the more forensic evidence they found suggesting Henry’s account was fabricated. Cops said they discovered a shell casing inside Henry’s vehicle and eight more at another location where police think Melly and Henry shot up the car to stage a drive-by.

Police believe the first shot came from inside the vehicle and originated from the left rear passenger side of the car where Melly was sitting. Surveillance footage from the recording studio confirms Melly got into the back left seat.

According to police, after Williams and Thomas were shot, Melly and Henry drove around with the dead bodies “for a period of time” before going to the ER. Henry later told investigators Melly was in the same car with them but eventually switched vehicles.

Melly and Henry were arrested on February 13 on charges of first-degree murder. If convicted, they face up to life in prison.
